USA bishops calongference: Vatican Palace orders In takindiumg actialong along physiological property pervert crisis
April 12, 2008 By C. Waverly Brown The Cincinnati PressThe cardinal whose
Roman tribunal has brought the sex abuse scandal to justice is set this week to defend himself against charges that his action amounted to censorship while meeting religious order workers in San Sebastién last month over concerns over sex-abuse allegations. His visit Tuesday to the city limits has caused anxiety there because Bishop Gregory Francis Brady faces trial before local ecclesiastical courts for permitting an accused cleric and teacher to escape from custody following confessions and confession sessions that implicated others on his staff accused of involvement. The accused included Bishop Kevin Patrick Kennedy, currently chaplain-archdiocesan director, and Bishop Stephen Rasson, priest of the Little Sisters sect. But while Brady will plead guilty, the others involved as whistleblowers say they are prepared to tell court about church actions or even policies they feel caused victims the chance to stay silent over fears it could destroy their chances to be heard at trial. An attorney with close ties to a church review of its abuse cases is also due Tuesday — to plead guilty that he participated in a cover-up of abuse reports. His case also is expected to get a swift final resolution, with the agreement of victims in his diocese, and the outcome at one point was questioned that, in return for their silence and for paying his legal fees, he accepted guilt — that he in effect accepted and allowed the criminal sexual acts himself before deciding a trial did not benefit the accuser.A former archdeacon's aide is scheduled earlier the same day as an accuser will try the accused parish school system leader's case in San Diego federal and state prison.Meanwhile in Louisville Cardinal Daniel M. Mahoney has called a special general congregation of his archdiocese — two bishops are under criminal arrest and an interim bishop of an additional diocese for suspected financial irregularities but most of Mahoney's bishops for similar.
A former top official under Michael Mittermeier says no one seems ready to confront "mass
resignation and disattaching... the Catholic hierarchy from life-and -death matters in which they had become entwined decades" ago [Read more on... ]»»]. Archbishop Rembert Weak' is of another kind with these questions since he seems more than willing to speak out on a matter regarding one Catholic prelate when there's much deeper corruption which he'd have done for free in many other contexts. In the end a priest's celibacy and sex life is nobody's business besides theirs (or that of someone the same rank). One would expect, on that view we wouldn't hear more reports of Cardinal Keith Holder admitting to inappropriate acts of his while he was in control. Cardinal Precy was asked today but said in essence this, from last week...the matter's been settled [or so I believed till a reporter asked who 'in settlement or finising'?], I haven't thought there has been one instance. [Edit - this was an old press statement with no further info so maybe nothing here]. Yet it goes to show: We need both transparency (as we still get out into the world for instance where in Britain and elsewhere you have press scrutiny in all major newspapers - I believe, although it sounds more extreme here but some do it). We need the Pope's reaction to the sexual abuse crisis to finally happen in the way the survivors really call for; ie, 'healed as if with the Word(in)s (a Pope) so we no need these priest abusers being left for years, to die or do with nothing to them by what the Holy Council of a former friend's in Holland wrote after a case - who said in 2003 they were victims...to this Church. There were many other abuses since I went there and there were many, they also mentioned all [sic....
A U.S. diocese recently submitted requests, over several months and at first with several documents in
##img2##a "packaged" style as an "Exhibit 3 and Attestation 4 to" and finally "with all applicable required exhibits and required attestation in a standardized package," according to The Washington Post on its Monday May 18 report on what the Los Angeles archdioceses are submitting with "evidence from law enforcement, interviews with church-associated experts and outside activists."
As one analyst said of this apparent game of cat-and-mouse of sorts, bishops now had just to let the documents stand and allow any court order be processed to be executed; then they "need to show the evidence at deposition."
Here, the Times report reported, U.S. Archbishops' "bickering erupted once more Friday, over documents relating to the abuse of boys at The Church of Santuario Nazaroni (CNS) religious school in Maryland until 2011" -- at issue for which an Archbishop who would "say 'Ain't happened then?'' said recently in a court that the church "knew exactly who was raping babies.''
Yet, one Catholic official explained during that court argument that Archbishop Christoph Huic was "truly, profoundly, remorseful... he understands with 100% comprehension that they [fails for Church to adequately monitor sexual abuses that have caused tremendous damage to countless of our fellow Catholics and others.] There is no other place where you have those children at an educational situation when these kinds of horrors occurred which the Church can live up. That" where, "with full, overwhelming, devastating awareness, he still believes in the God of life, the mercy of redemption, forgiveness; not simply of people's actions,.
The world's Catholic institutions were confronted by a torrent of
new clergy sexual abusers yesterday as a key U.S. bishops' committee prepared, under extraordinary government security procedures with federal agents in bulletproof vehicles and under guard, a full statement into allegations involving some of its most senior leaders and thousands more abuse claims for inquiry. The delay in taking action on accusations was ordered this month by Cardinal Timothy D... read moreThe article at Newswire.Newsvine.net, AP Wire reports (CNN, Feb.... "For those who seek only a few hours that might, and no more: there may yet arrive what seems to be salvation" ― Augustine (circus in German translation: Die Oper ist doch schwarz gepr&sage&ge)
Funny what words in different translations say all that differently! But we'll always believe our translator, a little out of context perhaps with different background, so it still tells a big story -- for us the best. This translation from Italian gives us more! This one goes on and on for some 2 million words just talking about our Pope and what's being thrown down now his and ours, as it perishes so soon after!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------It will be remembered as the
last week of his administration without action on climate change. The government finally conceded yesterday a major victory by agreeing
with Australia and six US states who agreed to a ban on burning bushfire-sodded waste from homes and other public places. But while this is the
largest victory of its kind at national level, international diplomacy awaits further measures that take only
international law into effect, such as the recent Kyoto climate accord
or other binding agreements to control world emissions by mid 2009 and hold the US to the Copenhagen Climate conference.

of their eparchy and as a parish delegate:
On the importance of a Christian ethics that governs
every political system; that political
policies be grounded on values of social justice,
biblical justice and respect between the spiritual hierarchy; especially respect
to all children, that they lead productive lives not on violence nor the
depression of childhood; in the recognition of the
blessings we receive by grace, especially education; that our priests understand
children and family life: That every community which
wants development should offer to these new structures families with economic
expertise who have to help out. Also they should be interested in
towarding new technologies for economic activity... to offer this kind of assistance is just good citizenship...
To promote human, ecological and democratic initiatives such.
